Probably ok for a very small room, like a bathroom or closet. the sound is terrible and my unit was a faded gray. I am very disappointed in this product. I orginally thought it would be great on the deck or just to use when I was outside. This was one of the worst purchases I have ever made.
Not very good quality. Speakers put out a constant faint buzz also. The top volume setting is way too quiet. I work with an oven close to me, and can barely hear the radio when it's turned up.
I listen to it as I either go to sleep or in the morning. Both applications work very well. I have a MiFi device and this XM3020 docking / speaker system is super nice for my application. I sometimes use headphones and sometimes I dont. My only drawback is I wish it had a sleep timer mechanism on it. I have it in my bedroom so I dont need it to be LOUD. It can get a little bit loud but it isnt designed to be a rockin device.

This little unit has a terrific sound quality and we are thoroughly enjoying it, especially during the holiday season.I highly recommend this item.
